Welcome to Kafé Konnect.
Open five days a week Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.00pm, Kafe Konnect offers breakfast, lunch and a range of delicious all day snacks. All our food is prepared following a simple policy of offering great food that is fresh, locally sourced and seasonal. Our Café is perfect for meeting friends or work colleagues and you can connect with our free wi-fi. During the day, drop in for lite bites, soft drinks and a tempting selection of teas and barista coffees. Sample our soup of the day, warming toasties and paninis, and delicious savoury pastries. Or treat yourself to one of our scrumptious homemade cakes or scones.
Kafe Konnect has an ethical, sustainable approach to the food we serve. Our food is full of flavour and goodness and sourced from people we know and trust in County Wexford. We proudly serve food that hasn’t had to travel hundreds of miles to get here. It's something that we are really passionate about, and that passion is reflected in everything we do.
As part of the overall strategy of our parent company Wexford Local Development to support the development of social enterprises, the Cornmarket Project established Kafe Konnect. Our cafe gives employment to those who have found it difficult to access the labour market as a result of prior criminal convictions, or who are in recovery from addiction. We support people to make sustainable changes in their lives, to move away from criminality and substance misuse, and get back on their feet. Our Kafe Konnect provides training and real work experience in a range of hospitality related roles including chefs, cooks, pastry chefs, baristas, wait staff, cashiers, kitchen support staff and café management. We have had great success in progressing our trainees into employment in the areas of hospitality, tourism and catering. As a social enterprise, all profits generated by Kafe Konnect are reinvested in the business with the objective of helping people to rebuild their lives.
